Never Worry About Money Again

I like the way this book starts with a simple concept.

Before continuing I should mention that the book is Never Worry About Money Again (By Answering One Question) by Jesse Mecham. It should help in many cases but I think the title over-promises for others.

I do not agree at all with the author’s statement that ”If you want to get good at money, you must see money as you.” early in the book. People are much more than their money. I might be overly picky here, since he quickly clarifies that he means we earn money with our time, labor etc. and the way we spend our money is a reflection of who we are and what we think is important.

Jesse Mecham suggests asking “what’s it for?” for each expense and using your answer to set your priorities on spending.

I liked the examples of asking “what’s it for?” that helped he and his wife make spending decisions.

Some might like using a budget app. Other might prefer a spreadsheet or other program and still others a paper and pen system. The important thing is to have a plan and adjust as circumstances change.

I thank Netgalley (https://www.netgalley.com ) for the chance to read this before publication.
The book should be published in a few days (on August 11 2026, to be more exact).
